Why Do You Need to Cleanse Your Gemstone Healing Tools?
When
healing gems and crystals are applied therapeutically, they help the body and
aura release unwanted energies.
Many of these energies are specific to the gemstones used during a
therapeutic session. If healing stones are properly cared for, their
capabilities are extensive. In
time, unwanted energies collect on the surface of gemstones and crystals, as
well as in the energy field that surrounds each of them. Much like clutter on your
desk can get in the way of your work, these unwanted energies get in the way of
the gems’ healing powers, and the stones must be cleansed.
Every
type of healing stone collects unwanted energies. These stones include gemstone necklaces, single spheres,
rounded gems, crystals, crystal clusters, and others. If they aren’t cleansed properly, the unwanted energies can
cloud around them, trapping their healing energies. In the worst-case scenario, these unwanted energies may be
transferred to the next person treated with the gems.
Fortunately, cleansing your gemstones can be simple and easy with the latest cleansing technology: GEMFormulas cleansing sprays. This method may be the fastest, easiest, and most effective of all. Before I show you how to use the sprays, let’s look at some of the other popular cleansing methods.

Cleansing
your crystals, crystal clusters, and non-threaded mineral kingdom therapy tools
with soap and running water is ideal for removing dust and dirt from their
physical surfaces. It is also useful for removing unwanted energies that the
crystals may have accumulated during a therapy session, or when uplifting the
vibrations of a room.
While
water is effective for cleansing non-threaded mineral kingdom therapy tools,
such as crystals and crystal clusters, there are significant drawbacks in using
water to clean gemstone necklaces. Water cleansing was a method that was
believed to be ideal for many years, however:
- The gemstone necklaces you wear should be cleansed daily and sometimes
two or three times a day if you are experiencing a serious or acute health
condition. Yet, constantly wetting the silk causes its premature deterioration and
worse, wearing the necklace before it has completely dried stretches the silk.
These will eventually lead to unnecessary necklace breakage.
- Using a gemstone necklace for help with serious health conditions requires constant physical contact with it. Each time the body loses this contact, such as when you set your necklaces to dry, it also loses contact with the necklace’s resources. Furthermore, a network of supportive energy for the body can never be adequately constructed. It is best to keep the necklace’s presence consistent. This way, your body can rely on it for the energetic resources it can provide.
- Presently, few households enjoy clean, untreated water coming out of
their faucets. If your tap water
is chlorinated, it will not be effective for clearing the unwanted energies
that collect on your necklace. Chlorine is also especially deleterious for the
thread on which the gems are strung.
Although using soap and water can remove body oils and skin lotions that can collect on gemstone necklaces, there is now a better way to remove these substances from your necklaces. Simply spray them with the GEMFormulas Cleansing Sprays and then wipe them with a soft towel.
Placing
your crystals and therapeutic gemstone necklaces behind a window that receives
direct sunlight is an easy way to energize them after they are cleansed.
However, sunlight through a window only seems to loosen unwanted energy. These unwanted energies still need to
be cleared away. If gemstones are
placed in sunlight for cleansing, they should always be placed behind a
windowpane to avoid solar radiation, some of which is not therapeutic. Due to the constantly changing solar
and cosmic radiation levels and the potential for sunlight to bleach certain
gemstones, sunbathing crystals and gemstones outdoors is no longer recommended.
Moonlight
baths can be effective as well, but only for certain gemstones. Sugilite is one of these gems. Although it may seem that the moon’s
light (or, rather, the sun’s reflection) does the cleansing, it is in fact the
moon’s gravitational pull. If you want
to try this method, first spray the gems with the new GEMFormulas cleansing
sprays, and then place them outside in a protected area that will be bathed in
the moon’s energy for at least a few hours.
If
you live in the suburbs or a rural area, placing your gemstones and gemstone
necklaces outside on the soil or buried in it not only cleanses the gemstones,
but also rejuvenates them with Earth energies. Moreover, plants and soil microbes have a natural life-giving energy that can neutralize the unwanted energies that gemstones can
accumulate. One drawback to soil
cleansing is that animals have been known to dig up and relocate gemstones—much
to the grief of the gems’ owners.
Some of these gems have been found weeks and months later, sometimes in
distant parts of the yard. Another
downside is that soil particles can get stuck in the thread and drill holes of
a necklace, and the necklace would therefore need to be water cleansed. Prolonged exposure to soil can also
dull the surface of softer gems, such as Apatite, Fluorite, and Rhodocrosite.
Cleansing
your gemstones by placing them in a bowl of salt is easy. However, it is not a complete cleanse.
Due to the nature of the salt crystal, it is able to absorb the bulk of
unwanted energies, but not all of them.
Also, it does not disperse these energies. In addition, the salt must be replaced every two to three
days to keep it working effectively.
This is no longer the most convenient or easy way to cleanse gemstones.
Note: Never consume the salt
that you use to cleanse gemstones, and do not use it for bathing. After being used to cleanse, the salt
will be filled with the unwanted energies it removed. Instead, toss it in the trash or down the sink.
At
first examination, clay may seem to be the gemstone-cleansing champion. Not only is clay capable of removing
unwanted energies from the stones, but it also removes x-rays and
electromagnetic radiation.
Nevertheless, the downside to clay cleansing becomes apparent soon
enough.
Clay
packs and clay baths are messy and time consuming. In addition, clay packs and
baths put undue stress on the silk, and they can actually deteriorate some
gemstones. Under magnification, we noticed that regular clay baths were capable
of creating poc marks in some earthstones, notably Onyx. Clay baths are not
recommended for Aventurine, Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Coral, or Mother of Pearl.
Smudging
is a process of using the smoke of sagegrass or certain other herbs to clear
gemstones. Smudging is a traditional way to cleanse crystals, but is the least effective method
for gemstone necklaces. The
smudging room will become filled with not only the physical smoke, but also the
unwanted energies that the smoke releases from the stones. Like salt, smudging does not
effectively disperse unwanted energies, and those who smudge must be careful
not to pick them up. If you’re
going to try smudging, I’d suggest doing it outside under a tree—with the
tree’s permission. I’m not
joking. The leaves of an
overhanging tree can take in the negative energies being released from the
smudging. With all due respect to
the living tree, it’s only polite to ask first.
Soon
after I founded GEMFormulas, gemstone therapist Linda Lila suggested cleansing
gemstones by placing them in a bowl of water and adding a few Energy Clearing
GEMFormula pills to the water. This method proved to be completely successful.
We were also able to add the EMR Protection GEMFormula pills to the water to
remove electromagnetic radiation that the gemstones collected. This method was quick, easy, and
effective.
The
drawback, once again, is getting your necklaces wet. However, GEMFormula baths
are ideal when you have a large number of necklaces that you want to cleanse
all at once.
Additionally,
if you decide to use this method, use some soap and water prior to the
GEMFormula bath. This will remove
surface oils. Rinse the soap off, and then use the GEMFormula pills.

Rejuvenation Methods
Below
are a few methods used to restore a gemstone’s energies after it has been cleansed.
Instead
of placing my gemstones outside in the soil, I now use a plate of granite to
restore their Earth energies. After cleansing gemstones with GEMFormula sprays,
they spend a few hours on the granite. This is a safe method, and it avoids
subjecting your gems to rain and to soil particles that can get embedded in the
silk or drill holes.
If
you have a crystal cluster, you can use it to restore and revitalize your
cleansed gemstone necklaces. Crystal clusters tend to broadcast a gemstone’s
energy throughout a room. For this
reason, it is essential that the gems have been well cleansed before you use a
crystal cluster to revitalize them. Otherwise any unwanted energies on the
gemstones will also be circulated throughout the room.
Each
type of Diamond contains a different energetic frequency. Seven-color-ray
Diamonds carry healing color-ray frequencies in various proportions. Only a
select few Diamonds carry healing color rays.
Rallop
Diamonds do not contain color rays. These Diamonds contain a type of frequency
that I could not identify and name, so the Guardian of Diamond suggested we
call it “Rallop.” (This term’s
trademark is held by Gemisphere, as I gave my copyrights to them at my divorce
from Michael Katz back in 1992.)
When
you look into the table of a Rallop Diamond, you can see anything you want to
see. This is why they’re so hard to identify. If you want to see colors, you’ll
see colors. However, when you apply a Rallop Diamond to the body, you won’t be
fed by colors because the Rallop Diamond does not contain them. Rather, the
Rallop frequencies will separate the matter and energy in your body, which is
not a healthy process! Rallop Diamonds should never be applied directly to the
body. They are not meant to be used in the same way as 7-color-ray Diamonds.
However, they do have therapeutic applications, and they can be used to restore
gemstone energies.
Rallops
are applied in pairs. When applied to a gemstone, Rallops open the curtain of
matter and energy, thereby allowing the gemstones’ true nature to come through.
When
we first learned about Rallop Diamonds and how to work with them, we thought
this was a great way to cleanse gemstones. However, this process is not safe
for the person who applies the Rallops unless they are wearing a 7-color-ray
Diamond. As the Rallop energy separates the matter and energy of the gemstone
they are applied to, the same separation occurs for anyone in the near
vicinity, and most prominently, for the person applying the Rallops. This
separation of matter and energy can lead to the breakdown of tissue integrity
and cellular membrane vitality. Wearing the 7-color-ray Diamond keeps the
Ralloper’s chakras nourished and his or her cellular integrity intact.
As a result of the aforementioned risks, Rallop cleansing is no longer something I’d recommend, especially now that we have the Diamond Spray, made with 7-color-ray Diamond energy. Diamond spray also brings forward a gemstone’s purpose, but without the manipulation of matter and energy. Furthermore, Diamond Spray has only uplifting and healthful side effects for the individual cleansing the gemstones.
Diamond
Spray works for gemstones as it does for people, by clearing their blueprints
and thereby clarifying information about true purpose. Atoms and molecules are
constantly looking to their blueprints for this information. If the blueprints
are cluttered with unwanted energy, their information can be seriously
blurred. When Diamond energy is
used on therapeutic gemstones, it clears the gems’ blueprints. Then, the gems’
emanations can reflect their inherent mission and true reason for being.
The
